The Porsche 2016 911 GT3 RS is the current King Kong of Porsche’s street legal 911 variants. The 911 GT3 RS is the most impressive street 911 Porsche has made, something that anyone who has driven one will gladly tell you. This 2016 Porsche GT3 RS (991.1)comes to us with just 257km on the odometer, not even close to broken in from new. Finished the GT Silver famously seen on the Porsche Carrera GT, it wears it like a fine suit jacket. Carbon Fibre Racing Buckets hold both driver and the lucky passenger in this car along with accents on the dash, console, doors and door sills. This GT3 RS also comes equipped with Front Axle Lift, Carbon Ceramic brakes and Full LED headlights to name the key options.
The Porsche GT3 RS 991.1 has numerous upgrades over the GT3 including body panels, engine and transmission. The RS has carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre rear deck lid, carbon fibre fenders and a magnesium roof. Porsche also gave the GT3 RS larger wheels than the GT3, 21 inch wheels on the back and 2o on the front. Larger rear wing is also made of carbon fibre and provides loads more rear downforce to the car paired with the front. Porsche has built an absolute beast for their flagship 911 making sure that where ever you look the 2016 911 GT3 RS 991.1 easily distinguishable.
The 3.8-litre unit found in the 911 GT3 is replaced with a 4.0-litre unit with 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet (460 N·m) of torque. The transmission is Porsche’s 7spd PDK. The drivetrain delivers 0-62 mph (0–100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds (0.6 seconds quicker than the 997 GT3 RS 4.0) and 0-124 mph (0–200 km/h) in 10.9 seconds.
