1992 Acura NSX 5spd

This gorgeous Berlina Black 1992 Acura NSX came to us from 2 fastidious Canadian owners. A Canadian car was first delivered in Saskatoon and was first registered  April 20, 1994.  Acura Centre of Saskatoon maintained the car for its first owner up until June 2018. The NSX was sold to the second owner in June 2018 until we purchased the car 2 years later. Clean Carfax with plenty of service entries backed up by service records. The car presents as a car with 1/3 of the displayed mileage.  We have had the car to our local Acura service centre for a Pre Purchase Inspection and regular oil service. Tires were installed in 2018 and a major service completed 4,500km ago including plugs, brake fluid, timing belt and more.

Acura built these all aluminum sports cars to compete with the fine European cars of the same era. The European cars at the time required expensive regular servicing that came with a hefty price tag.  Acura touted the NSX as an everyday supercar that should be as easy to drive as any of the other models in the Acura lineup. They started this project in 1984 and only in 1991 did they start rolling these highly engineered “supercars”. They wanted a car that someone could get in and drive very, very fast and to the limit without the driver having to know any quirks or idiosyncrasies. The design was inspired by the F-16 Falcon fighter jet that was characterized as a light weight, very responsive, highly maneuverable and dominating weapon.

The driving experience in a first generation Acura NSX cars is something that you likely wouldn’t expect. We at Silver Arrow Cars are certainly big into the German engineered cars like the 911, that is no secret but an NSX – not normally are the Japanese cars our favourites. The NSX sits in a special place in our hearts along with Porsche 993’s, Nissan 300ZX Turbos, Ferrari 355 and a couple other 90’s jewels.

The satisfaction of driving and owning one of these 90’s engineering marvels is hard to beat. The added bonus of owning a car that has been steadily increasing in value is a double bonus.
