1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet M491

On offer is one of just sixteen 1987 Turbo-look (widebody) Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolets. This is likely the only one finished in Diamond Blue Metallic over a dark blue leather interior. The M491 option shared the Porsche 930 Turbo’s wide arches and wide wheels. Underneath, the M491s gained the improved turbo suspension and braking system. The handling of these cars was simply fantastic. Powered by the improved 3.2-liter air-cooled – flat-six engine, producing 217 bhp to the rear wheels through the very desirable, hydraulically operated, Getrag G50 5-Speed transmission. This is a USA delivery car from new, but has been British Columbia for quite some time, in two prominent Porsche collections. It was maintained by a Porsche specialty shop in Vancouver and has just had a full service at Porsche Centre Victoria.
