This 1998 Porsche 911 Turbo WLS2 is perhaps one the most significant 993 Turbo’s ever built. 16,101 original kilometers since new via the original books, receipts, bill of sale and owners documentation. This all original ultra iconic 993 Turbo is approximately 1 of 156 911 Turbos built in the final year of 993 model production to include the WLS2 package. Confirmed by the code XLC evident on the under Bonet VIN & option tag. The XLC package was a 1 year only option that increased the output of a normal 1998 993 Turbo to 450HP – the highest output ever available in a production 993. The package included the K24 larger turbos from the GT2, an additional oil cooler, upgraded ECU and twin pipe exhaust. This package essentially matched the power to the European delivery 1998 911 GT2 & Turbo S. The big increase in power is also not comparable to the USA delivery Turbo S only available in 1997 which was 424hp.
