The transmission was upgraded to a Moss 5-Speed synchromesh gearbox. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring restoration key elements of the original car were retained for posterity rather than replacement with new pieces. The aluminum tooled console was retained rather than replaced and that notion was expressed where possible.
