1-Owner till 2024! This incredible 1962 Jaguar Series 1 XKE Roadster, chassis was meticulously rotisserie restored with no expense spared, completion in 2025. The restoration was completed with the expertise of local craftsman and experts in early Jaguar restorations; Coachwerks and Owen Automotive.
Sold new in our market in 1962 and remained with its original family until the estate found its second local owner in 2024. Amazing that such a unique automobile remained in its originating market for 64 years.
This XKE retains its factory 3.8L engine and 4-speed gearbox though not installed in the car. The transmission was upgraded to a Moss 5-Speed synchromesh gearbox.
During restoration key elements of the original car were retained for posterity rather than replacement with new pieces. The aluminum tooled console was retained rather than replaced and that notion was expressed where possible. The majority of parts and pieces were replaced with correct Jaguar new old stock and authentic where ever possible.
The result of this restoration is the best E-Type we have ever had the privilege of representing.
