This exceptional USA delivery 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 (930) is finished in its original colour of Anthracite Metallic over a custom interior in grey Alcantara and black trim. The incredible documentation and dollars spent over the years of collector ownership are as impressive as the overall condition of this 930 Turbo. This car has been under single BC ownership from 2012 - 2022 after it was imported from Arizona - presumably where it was delivered new.
Virtually the entire car has been gone through and upgraded to boost performance or drivability. Power was estimated at 450hp vs a stock 930 Turbo 3.3's 300hp. The engine was treated to new internals top to bottom to handle the increased power from an upgraded Turbo.
Key modifications to note are a rebuilt 5-Speed transmission replaces the original 4-speed. This adds extra drivability and highway cruising compared to the oem spec 4-speed. RSR 6lb lightweight flywheel and RSR Carbon Kevlar Clutch. The engine was rebuilt using RuF Mahle Pistons and Cylinders increasing displacement to 3.4L while running 7.5:1 compression. Kokeln Turbo and Intercooler were upgraded as well as the camshafts, waste gate, headers, exhaust and much more.
The authentic 17" RuF wheels certainly fit the look in 9"x17" fronts and 10"x`7" rears. Brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires have been installed within 500km. Suspension has been upgraded all around with custom valved Bilstein shocks, upgraded spindles, Smart Racing 23mm Front & Rear sway bars and 22mm front Torsion bar.
Complete list of modifications and parts are still to come, but if you are looking for a very authentic air-cooled Porsche 911 with clean lines but added horsepower, handling and aesthetic this is likely the car you have been searching for.
We have had our local Porsche Service centre inspect the car, service it and perform a compression test before completing a concours level detail.
