1981 Porsche 911 SC 3.0L Modified
This 1981 Porsche 911 was delivered new May 1982 in Oakland, California. The car lived in the USA until 2015 when it was imported into Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The car has lived on the West Coast the majority of its life and has greatly benefitted from the climate and Porsche enthusiast owners that have built this car from essentially the ground up to what you see it as today – a restored and modifed 1981 Porsche 911.
The factory 3.0L flat six was removed, completely disassembled and rebuilt with new components using Dougherty Racing camshafts with a 964 grind. Al Kosmal of X-Factory in Washington further modifed the car and engine by adding a Electronic Fuel Injection system with 40mm PMO individual throttle bodies, a Rasant AEM Engine Management System with new ECM, wiring and sensors.
The 915 transmission was removed in 2012 by John Walker’s Workshop, a Washington based Porsche expert and service shop. The Transmission was serviced and SSI Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers were installed.
Between 2015 & 2016 the 911 SC received a windows out repaint in Paciific Blue Metallic with other body modifications. The sunroof was deleted with Fenn Lane sunroof delete panel, the antenna hole was welded closed, and the factory door mirror holes were filled. EB Motorsports SC/RS-style narrow-body bumpers and EB Motorsports duck tail rear spoiler were added as well as the Porsche rear decklid it wears today.
During this time the car also went to a full new leather interior at Classic9 Leather Shop in Dearborn Heights, Michigan in 2016. Modifications included Recaro LX-C bucket seats with custom-wrapped headrests, Dynamat insulation installed below custom square-weave salt and pepper carpets and custom-stitched RS-style door panels. A modern Bluetooth audio system was installed including Focal Speakers in the front and rear.
The gauges were reconditioned at Palo Alto Speedometer in California.

- Zimmerman Brake Rotors installed at 195k miles
- Pagid brake pads installed at 195k miles

Most recently the car has benefitted from some upgrades under most recent previous ownership. The car had all of its polished window trim removed and upgraded to Porsche OEM satin black window trim. Wheels were upgraded to a 17” Fuchs style aluminum rim wrapped with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Brakes were also upgraded for better stopping and performance to Porsche 996 style front & rear calipers, new rear rotors, 930 master cylinder and 3pc Rebel Racing front rotors.
This California born 1981 911 SC comes complete with its original warranty book and owners manual documenting its routine services from day 1 with 4 pages of stamped work.
Thousands of hours, dollars and endless passion has been poured into this car to benefit its next custodian. The car has great compression across all cylinders and was dyno tested in Vancouver, BC to 191hp at the rear wheels and 181 ft-lbs of torque.
