This 1983 Lamborghini Countach is one of approximately 321 examples of the LP5000 S built over a three-year production run. Chassis DLA12610 left the factory in July 1983 and was delivered new to Emilian Auto of Bologna, Italy, prior to being imported and federalized by Exotic Leasing of St. Paul, Minnesota, later that year. The car is believed to have remained with its first owner in Minnesota until 2001 before being sold in 2002 to its next long-term owner, who relocated it to Massachusetts. Following a refurbishment completed by JE Robison Service of Springfield, Massachusetts, in 2015 and 2016 that involved rebuilds of the 4.8-liter quad-cam V12, six Weber carburetors, flywheel, and clutch assembly, it was awarded 1st Prize in the Modern Classics class at the 2017 Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan. A European-market example, the car is finished in Bianco and features pop-up headlights, scissor doors, and a V-shaped rear wing. It rides on silver-finished 15″ Ruote OZ wheels and is further equipped with a five-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. Inside, Nero leather–trimmed bucket seats are accompanied by a Raid steering wheel paired with a gated shifter as well as an Alpine stereo and air conditioning.
