When Chrysler unveiled the Viper RT/10 in 1992, it redefined American performance. Developed under the leadership of Bob Lutz and with input from Carroll Shelby, the Viper paid homage to the raw, analog muscle cars of the 1960s, wrapped in a radical, futuristic body. Boasting an 8.0-litre V10 engine derived from a Chrysler truck block and reworked by Lamborghini (then a Chrysler subsidiary), the Viper produced 400 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque—figures that were jaw-dropping at the time.

This Canadian-market example was delivered new via Crosstown Dodge in Edmonton, Alberta, and was acquired by a forward-thinking collector who immediately recognized the Viper’s future significance. Rather than drive it, he placed it into professional long-term storage, preserving the car in virtually as-new condition. With just 54 original kilometres, it stands as one of the lowest-mileage first-generation Vipers in existence.

Notably, this Viper remained unregistered for over 30 years until 2025, making it a truly unique offering: a first-year Viper effectively “new” in every sense, never driven beyond initial delivery mileage, and never titled until this year. It is also just one of fourteen first year Vipers delivered new to Canada.

Presented in its original Viper Red over grey interior with matching side exhaust covers and factory alloy wheels, this RT/10 retains its factory soft top, side curtains, tonneau cover, original manuals, window sticker, and delivery documents. It represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire a foundational piece of modern American performance history in museum-quality condition.

Whether destined for a world-class collection or as a centrepiece of preservation, this Canadian-delivered, ultra-low-kilometre 1992 Dodge Viper is among the finest and most original examples extant—a truly irreplaceable piece of 1990s supercar lore.
